Rita C. Lenox, of Cranford, NJ, deceased June 9, 2010.
Vice President & Secretary-Treasurer of Lenox-Fugle Electronics Inc; both on South Plainfield & Cranford. She was also Vice President of advertising for the Lenox-Fugle international Inc.; Nogales, AZ and Mexico.
Rita previously was the womans' editor of the Daily Journal, retiring after 17 years in the editorial department. She began her writing career as a reporter and columnist with the Paterson Evening News, where she wrote under the professional name of Rita Korza.
She was graduated from Rider College, Trenton, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Journalism. She also was a graduate of Green Mountain College, Poultney, VT with an Associate of Arts Degree. She did graduate work at Columbia University, NYC.
Born in NJ, Rita was the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine Korzinski. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Henry J Lenox in January 2010. They lived in Cranford for 50 years.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, of Hawthorne, NJ; two nieces; two nephews; and a grandnephew. Visitation will be on Monday from 7-9 at the Gray Memorial Funeral Home 12 Springfield Ave. Cranford. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:30 am June 15, 2010 at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Garwood. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
